Job Summary
KBR is seeking a Temporary (4-months) Research Assistant position at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT)in the Quantum Optics Laboratory (QOL). This position will support the conduct of quantum information and quantum computational research at AFIT. The Research Assistant will aid the research efforts of both AFIT faculty and students within the QOL. The successful candidate will have expert knowledge and experience conducting quantum information research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quantum information research for AFIT Faculty and Students.
- Facilitate research within AFIT’s Quantum Optics Laboratory.
- Provide quantum programming experience with pyQuil and qiskit.
- Provide technical experience utilizing microwave optics and Class 3b LASERs.
Work Environment:
- Location: On-Site at AFIT, WPAFB, OH
- Travel Requirements: None
- Working Hours: Standard
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's in physics with an emphasis on quantum information and quantum computation.
- Experience: 4+ years of research experience.
- Possesses 3+ years of quantum information research experience.
- Possesses quantum programming experience with pyQuil and qiskit.
- Possesses technical experience utilizing microwave optics and Class 3b LASERs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Education: Master's in physics with an emphasis on quantum information and quantum computation.
