Description:You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Precision Fires Manufacturing Engineering team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the successful production of complex systems.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for leading production line validations, creation and maintenance of Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOMs), and driving manufacturing excellence at our make sites and suppliers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing or maturing manufacturing readiness assessments and creating manufacturing plans
- Conducting make or buy analyses
- Presenting at design and manufacturing reviews
- Transitioning new or revised designs from development to production
- Identifying risks to production and implementing mitigation plans

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
• Ability to interpret drawings, Computer Aided Design (CAD) models, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data
• Experience supporting a manufacturing line
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
Desired Skills:• Active Secret security clearance
• Experience in design for manufacturing (DFM) / assembly or design to cost (DFC)
• Process Improvement experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt)
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to liaison between LM Subcontractors, internal disciplines, and LM shop(s)

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
