What does a successful Accounting Manager do at Fiserv?
As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operational accounting tasks, preparing/reviewing monthly journal entries, assessing accounting treatment of complex technology-related purchases, and managing monthly general ledger account reconciliations to ensure compliance with GAAP and Fiserv policies. You’ll work closely with Finance, IT, and business leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending accounting expertise with a strong understanding of technology operations.
What will you do:
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, account analysis, reconciliations, and periodic reports in a timely manner
- Manage, train, guide, and review work from our Central Accounting India team for assigned general ledger accounts and areas of responsibility
- Collaborate with corporate, IT, and finance teams to ensure proper accounting for technology-related expenditures.
- Continuous process standardization, improvement, and streamlining
- Reporting and analysis to ensure accuracy of financial transactions, account balances, and reporting
- Lead the analysis and resolution of complex technical accounting matters
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, Fiserv policies, internal controls and SOX requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional projects as subject matter expert to support integration, regulatory, and/or other operational changes
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years experience in Accounting
- Experience of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (EXCEL) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
