KBR is seeking an Expeditor for KBR’s Science and Space division.
The Expeditor takes responsibility for purchases in support of customer-related business processes or for internal use. Discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers and is responsible for negotiating refunds. Coordinates with operations, maintenance, warehouse and engineering to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies. Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices. Uses experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes. May provide guidance to less experienced team members. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Program Schedule Tracking: Monitor and track program schedules, identifying potential delays or discrepancies in timelines.
- Resource Coordination: Collaborate with various internal departments and external partners to ensure that resources and materials are available as per program requirements.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and address potential risks that may hinder the successful completion of program tasks.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between program managers, project teams, and clients, ensuring clear communication and timely updates on program status.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of program schedules, changes, and status, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to align expectations and deliverables, while managing and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Process Improvement: Work towards enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within the program through continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.
- Problem-Solving: Quickly and efficiently resolve any issues impeding program progression, leveraging strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Preparing promotional and outreach presentations and training.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Familiarity using ERP systems such as Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Logistics or supply chain experience dealing with tracking and accounting for material deliveries
- Experience communicating effectively with senior level stakeholders
