Summary: Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for development and implementation of all operations for the Cryo-Mach business. The Operations Manager will have direct responsibility for establishing safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, procurement and lean objectives.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, operations management, or a related field is required.
Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or other operational leadership role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven background in the application of lean production and methodologies, quality and ISO 9001 processes, inventory control, procurement procedures and techniques, EHS and logistics.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop long-term strategic plans and follow-up action plan to execute on these deliverables.
- Embody the Company’s ethics and values; maintain the highest corporate governance principles Proven leader with ability to motivate teams and drive accountability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Systems experience with Microsoft office and Oracle ERP are strongly preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of PSG business – specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, annual budgeting and planning process for operations annual budget.
- Establishes operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, complete on-time delivery and performance metrics.
- Provide support and leadership by:
- Supporting sales & operations planning (S&OP) process, and planning manufacturing capacity accordingly to ensure on time and efficient delivery.
- Identifying and responding to trends in the marketplace, anticipating and applying strategies to be ahead of the cost and quality curve.
- Overseeing the negotiation, implementation, and administration of contracts with key suppliers by the PSG Delegation of Authority (DOA).
- Directing the continuous improvement program and supporting on site initiatives as required to ensure adoption of programs and achievement of desired results.
- Supporting quality programs in coordination with PSG California leads
- Ensuring that products are delivered on time to customers and that products meet all customer expectations regarding quality and performance.
- Developing and implement EHS policies with the support PSG California leads
- Coordinates production activities with quality assurance and quality control functions, recommending quality standard changes or modifications when needed.
- Work proactively with and effectively engaging functional counterparts on site and within PSG to ensure overall organizational success and continuity of leadership.
- Foster a positive employee relations environment through building a culture where employees are motivated and actively engaged in driving continuous improvement in the business.
- Serve as a coach, mentor, and role model for direct reports.
- Conducts performance evaluations, coaches and mentors, provides feedback, and acts as needed to build a high-performing culture.
- Works closely with the HR Director to manage employee relations issues within the department.
- Responsible for all other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

The environment is both office and manufacturing. The manufacturing environment is subject to moderate changes in temperature and the employee will be exposed to typical hazards of noise, flying debris, and overhead hazards requiring the use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Pay Range: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually
Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
