THE WORK The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting build plans that align with program requirements and contractual commitments. This role ensures efficient use of resources, timely release of work orders, and effective coordination between Stockroom, Manufacturing Supervisor, Capacity Planner and Program teams. The planner will leverage SAP (or equivalent ERP system) to manage material availability, work-in-progress (WIP) and process defects while ensuring continuity of production and on-time delivery.
The key responsibilities include:
Demonstrate a basic understanding of manufacturing planning to manage incoming work, work-in-progress (WIP) and out-going work.
Incoming WIP Management
• Manage effective business rhythm for incoming WIP (receipt, induction and allocation to resource).
• Create and update business documentation to minimize delays to the work center.
Internal WIP Management
• Expediting material requirements with appropriate sense of urgency.
• Process defects based on the assigned disposition.
• Provide clear, concise and consistent WIP status to stakeholders.
• Aged WIP Management (>60 days)
Outgoing WIP Management
• Ensure work order is confirmed, and defects are closed.
• Create and update delivery documentation.

• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.

• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a secret DoD security clearance which requires US Citizenship.
Desired Skills:• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other complex manufacturing industries.

• Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities and adapt to dynamic program scheduling needs.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
