Description:Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Development (VPCD), the Director M&A Strategy & Integration is responsible for driving the organization’s efforts around inorganic growth strategies, target pipeline development and associated strategic evaluation in collaboration with the Business Area and other Corporate Strategy & Development (CSD) teams. This role also leads all aspects of the post-merger integration planning as well as separation activities related to divestitures and special projects aligned with the operational and strategic capabilities of the CD function.
The Director, M&A Strategy & Integration will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Lead the M&A Strategy & Integration team and function and owns the corporate integration playbook.
• Lead any strategic and operationally focused special projects at the direction VPCD or ELT
• Create and drive a robust transaction pipeline of actionable targets, including sourcing from and providing targets to the Business Areas
• Work with the Business Areas, E&T and Strategy teams to advance inorganic strategic investment and portfolio shaping concepts.
• Mature and further enhance the portfolio analysis/model and lead the bi-annual portfolio assessment
• Oversee special projects for Corp Dev leadership and support M&A/investment decision-making
• Manage the interactions related to incoming transaction activity (externally and internally)
• Support the development of compelling business cases and strategic rationale in collaboration with Business Area and M&A staff
• Lead the development and execution of detailed integration and separation plans for all mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
• Lead all post-closing transition services support activities
• Develop high impact strategic presentations in connection with ELT/Board level discussions
• Develop and maintain relationships with external bankers and consultants to stay current in the M&A environment and leverage external expertise as warranted in processes
• Correlate M&A industry activity to drive CorpDev newsletter, executive updates, and other ad hoc ELT-level presentations
• Responsible for managing day-to-day CD operations supporting the VPCD (budgets, approvals)

Basic Qualifications:• +10 years Aerospace and Defense experience;
• +10 years of combined integration, strategy and operations leadership experience;
• Experience in leading the development of integration and separation plans for major acquisitions and divestitures
• Strong project management and organization skills
• Experience in the development of strategy, strategic themes and business cases;
• Extensive knowledge of best practices in integration, program management and change management
• Experience in prior transaction investment activity;
• Talent leadership experience and strong full spectrum leadership values;
• Excellent relationship building skills and ability to work across the entire organization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable and effective at making high impact presentations to the ELT
• Thinking critically, bridging strategy and goals to actionable transaction opportunities
• Leading large cross-functional teams comprised of both corporate and operating staff
• Communicate often complex matters simply and coherently both up and down the organization
• Ability to simultaneously manage several projects
• Action and decision focused, strong ability to drive to closure

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $180,000 - $287,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
