Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) team works with policymakers, regulators, and third-party stakeholders to navigate the tests of public policy. We are advisors who analyze and react to political developments, working to advance Google's mission by shaping the policy landscape at the state and local levels.
As the lead Policy Strategist for New York and North East states, you will be at the forefront of shaping technology policy in one of the most dynamic regions in the country. You will be responsible for developing and executing sophisticated legislative and regulatory strategies on a wide range of issues impacting Google, including artificial intelligence, data privacy, content moderation, energy, competition, cybersecurity, privacy, and the future of work. This is not a traditional lobbying role; it requires an understanding of the legislative process and the ability to engage in detailed policy analysis, redline legislation, and discuss directly with policymakers and their staff to achieve our objectives. You will be expected to know the levers of government and how to use them to protect and advance an open and innovative internet.
