What does a Business Operations Analyst do?
A Business Operation Analyst at Fiserv will help drive operational excellence across client implementation and support functions. In this role you will ensure timely, predictable delivery of client requests, analyze workflows and systems, maintain governance-aligned documentation, and use data to improve outcomes for clients and internal teams. We partner with stakeholders to turn data into actionable insights and deliver measurable results. Communicate status, risks, and next steps to clients and internal partners to maintain transparency throughout the request lifecycle.
What you will do:
- Analyze client systems and operational workflows to identify gaps, streamline processes, and support successful data conversions and implementations.
- Have hands-on with RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate) and exposure to Intelligent Automation concepts.
- Maintain and update tracking tools, questionnaires, work estimates, timelines, and process documentation in alignment with project management governance.
- Monitor metrics (hours, costs, SLAs), produce regular reports for leadership and program reviews, and deliver client training/support during implementation and stabilization.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education, work experience and/or military experience.
- Experience client-facing project support, operations, or business analysis experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Experience documenting process flows, user guides, or implementation plans.
- Advanced proficiency utilizing Microsoft Excel (formulas, formats, pivot tables, VLOOK-UP)
What would be great to have
- Experience managing/manipulating large datasets
- Experience with business process mapping, optimization, and change-management practices.
- Proficiency in SQL or other data-analysis tools for validating data and building reports.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and project management governance.
