What does a Senior Reconciliation Analyst do at Fiserv?
As a Senior Reconciliation Analyst, you will lead efforts to ensure accurate account reconciliation and identify discrepancies through the analysis of transactions made on different card networks, such as debit, credit, fees, and chargebacks. You will apply methodical precision to examine financial data and evaluate discrepancies to escalate issues, as needed. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions, drive positive change to processes and initiatives, and serve as a mentor to provide strategic direction and adherence to best practices.
What you will do:
- Oversee the daily reconciliation and analysis of bank data for Wire and ACH settlements, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed
- Coordinate with reconciliation analysts to process correcting entries for clients utilizing automated tools and manual adjustments as necessary
- Serve as a point of contact for escalations and settlement issues and facilitate timely resolution
- Partner with management to clearly communicate escalations to Senior Leadership
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of reconciliation workbooks to ensure efficiency and identify opportunities for enhancement
- Partner with management and automations team to drive implementation of process optimizations
- Assist management in the planning, execution, and oversight of initiatives to ensure they meet objectives and deadlines
- Actively participate in cross-training associates
What you will need to have:
- Experience in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Reconciliation, Banking, Data Analytics, and/or similar discipline
- Experience in reconciling financial records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring data accuracy
- Experience leading and/or directing other associates within a team setting
- 4+ years of an equivalent combination of education, work and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- Bachelors degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Power BI or Power Automate
- Specialized certifications such as CTP, AAP, CRCM, CISA, CPA, etc.
