About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Credit Portfolio Consultant within the SBA Construction Portfolio Services Division. The SBA Construction Portfolio Services Division is specifically accountable for:
- advising and consulting on all commercial real estate subject matter
- collection, review, analysis, and assessment of commercial real estate construction due diligence
- coordination of the closing of commercial real estate loans with a focus on credit and collateral quality
- acting as an expert guidance partner in all commercial real estate construction loans
- monitoring of commercial real estate construction draws and progress,
- providing commercial real estate related advice and training to line of business partners.
The team works directly with Relationship Managers, Senior Lead Commercial Banking Portfolio Managers, Independent Risk Management, and other Wells Fargo team members to identify and mitigate credit risks related to real estate collateral. In this role, you will:- Participate in complex credit initiatives including those that are cross functional with broad impact
- Assist in oversight on credit risk governance and across assigned businesses or functions
- Review and analyze complex credit performance, and potential or emerging credit risks that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
- Execute appropriate strategies that ensure risk is within Wells Fargo's risk appetite
- Make recommendations in complex and multifaceted situations requiring sound understanding of credit and portfolio strategies that influence teams to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Direct and coordinate the various activities related to assessing and predicting risk through business analysis or modeling
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and middle to more experienced managers to resolve credit and portfolio issues, and achieve goals
- Lead projects and serve as a peer mentor
- Serve as a technical expert for management on moderately complex issues
Required Qualifications:- 2+ years of Credit Portfolio Consulting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- 2+ years Commercial Real Estate experience
- Risk Management - ability to identify potential risks
- Ability to identify and solve problems independently
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, and SharePoint
- Highly organized and proactive with an ability to manage multiple work streams
- Excellent communication skills; able to interact with business partners, peers, and senior management
- Dedicated and self-driven
- Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrixed environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$77,000.00 - $133,000.00
