Role Definition:
This role manages manual accounting for specific CFAS CVAs using Excel, Dataiku, and Oracle reports, requiring frequent business communication. It also supports transitioning manual processes to Oracle.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use.
Performing balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
Creating and utilizing automated tools for the updating, analyzing and reporting of consolidated financial results.
Skill Required:

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Financial Record Keeping: Knowledge of financial record keeping processes, methods, and tools; ability to maintain accurate and thorough records of financial transactions.
Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
Top Candidates Will Bring:
- Technical Aptitude and Tool Familiarity Skilled in using analysis and reporting tools including Power Query, Excel, Power Query and Power BI. Prior experience with advanced platforms such as Dataiku is highly valued. While not mandatory, familiarity with these tools will distinguish top candidates.
- Intellectual Curiosity A natural inclination to ask questions, explore new ideas, and seek out opportunities for learning and improvement. Candidates should be proactive in identifying areas for innovation and growth
- Systems Proficiency Hands-on experience with enterprise systems such as Oracle and Business Objects. Comfortable self-serving within these platforms to extract and interpret relevant data.

Summary Pay Range:
$92,880.00 - $160,788.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
