What does a successful Cyber Engineering Manager do?
You will drive the vision, planning, and execution of end user network security initiatives within Cybersecurity. This role is pivotal in aligning platform and solution capabilities with cyber technology policies, standards, and controls. Your leadership will ensure that our products and infrastructure meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and performance, while you collaborate across teams and serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery groups.
What you will do:
- Define and maintain the security roadmap for end user network controls, products, and solutions, including Enterprise Browser, URL filtering/proxy, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) platforms.
- Provide strategic direction and work with vendors and internal teams to translate business and regulatory requirements into actionable product features, technical specifications, and advanced security measures.
- Own and prioritize the cybersecurity backlog for end user network products, ensuring clarity and alignment with business goals.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and story acceptance.
- Define and enforce acceptance criteria focused on security, performance, and reliability.
- Lead and mentor cybersecurity engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, risk teams, technology services, and cyber technical delivery groups for end user network security products.
What you will need to have:
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, product ownership, or technical program/project management, preferably in fintech or financial services.
- 4+ years of experience leading teams and with network security principles and technologies (e.g., WAF, web filtering).
- 4+ years of Cyber/Risk management experience.
- Strong foundational knowledge of general cyber concepts and tools, including identity and access management, RBAC & MFA, DLP tools, endpoint management, encryption, etc. and g understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and secure infrastructure design.
- Understanding of financial transaction flows and associated security risks.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, or PMP are a plus.
