Supervisor, Material Management
KBR is providing Project Management Services encompassing Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phase execution, supporting KBR’s client Sonangol’s multi-billion-dollar grass-roots Lobito Refinery Project in Angola, Africa.
KBR is looking for a Material Manager Supervisor to assist in leading a site engineering support team on the Sonangol project. This position will provide IPMS tracking of Tagged Items purchased by 3rd party EPC to offer the client a single source of truth and consolidated reporting. Activities to be executed are as follows:
***This position will mobilize to China and then transition to the Angola site in Summer 2026***
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Load Tagged items into IPMS Tag Catalog to make them available for Procurement activity
- Enter IPMS Inquiry Requisition (Phase 2 Purchase Orders only)
- Enter IPMS Purchase Requisition (Both Phases)
- Enter IPMS Purchase Order with Contractual Delivery date from supplier
- Maintain IPMS Expediting Data (Current Promise Date)
- Maintain FND / ROS date from P6 Schedule in IPMS
- Show “Material Movement Ticket (MMT)” for items that are in transit to jobsite with ETA at jobsite
- Enter MRR, by tag number, when it reaches jobsite and has been checked in and confirmed no issues.
- If there is an issue, record OS&D in IPMS in order to track resolution.
- Additional responsibilities include providing oversight and guidance to 3rd Party EPC activities regarding Expediting, Inspection, Logistics, Warehousing and Material Allocation processes.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Skills required for this job are typically acquired by completion of an Associates degree and 10 years of experience or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience working in International Major Capital Projects in Material Management, Logistics or Warehousing is requested.
- Experience with warehouse and inventory activities related to Mechanical equipment and ship loose items is critical.
- Previous experience with KBR's processes and tools, specifically IPMS is mandatory.
- Previous work experience in China is a plus.
