Description: You will be the Electromechanical Engineer for the Common Autonomous Multidomain Launcher (CAML) program. Our team is responsible for designing, building, and testing a prototype launch system that will support a variety of weapons across multiple domains.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Electromechanical Engineer you will develop new electromechanical concepts, create detailed designs, and provide production support throughout the product development lifecycle. You will work independently and collaboratively with a cross functional team to ensure that every hardware element meets performance, reliability, and schedule goals. Your responsibilities will include:
• Re packaging existing launcher electronics into new enclosure form factors while preserving functional performance.
• Generating system interconnect diagrams in Zuken and producing model based harness designs.
• Creating detailed mechanical layouts, drawings, and bill of materials that specify materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
• Supporting procurement: obtaining quotes, coordinating with the model shop and external vendors, and overseeing build up and assembly of new electronics modules.
• Defining acceptance test criteria, performing verification testing, and documenting results to confirm compliance.
• Providing technical support during design reviews, engineering data releases, assembly, inspection, and test activities.
• Collaborating with structural, thermal, configuration management, electrical, mechanical, subcontract, planning, and quality partners to resolve issues and drive integration.
• Leading or mentoring a small team of electromechanical engineers when needed.
• Traveling to supplier sites or program locations to support critical milestones and interface reviews.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
