Dover Precision Components is hiring a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for our Cook Compression brand. In this role, you will lead an account management sales team in our Western Region, with overnight travel expected up to 50%. This role will have direct responsibility for the sales, service and relationship building for the Cook Compression aftermarket business. The RSM will work closely with other functional areas of the business along with coordinating sales efforts with operations and Mechanical Field Services across the region’s direct sales resources. This position will report directly to the Director of Sales/US Aftermarket.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and foster professional relationships with key customers in the region within Midstream, Gas Gathering, Chemical, Petrochemical and Refining plants.
- Demonstrate initiative to generate new sales and business opportunities.
- Promote the value proposition to the sales team as well as a Salesforce effectiveness message to new and existing customers.
- Manage monthly market and competitive reports outlining the market dynamic changes, personnel changes within sales, and rolling out the region’s sales operation rhythm.
- Lead and mentor team of territory sales representatives, including direct supervisory efforts such as interviewing, hiring, performance evaluations, and coaching.
- Establish sales funnel, promotional programs, new business development targets along with a complete monthly sales review.
- Direct account engagement may be required with the intent of adding to the sales team’s opportunity funnel.
- Identify and grow sales within the region and target additional market share by developing new accounts within the region.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- BA or BS in Engineering, Management, Business or related field, or equivalent years of experience in related role and industry.
- 7+ years of demonstrated sales success, building relationships and growing a territory within related industries of manufactured components, oil and gas, or industrial sales.
- 3+ years’ experience managing a high performing Sales Team.
- Mechanical aptitude/ knowledge in rotating equipment such as compressors or pumps.
- Strong negotiation and analytical acumen.
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Driven for success- self-motivated with a results-driven mindset, acting with a sense of urgency to support the customer base.
- Ability to understand customer’s problems and to develop solutions which meet or exceed the customer’s expectations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – Ability to interface with customers at all levels within the organization both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated competency with MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate and drive a company-provided 3/4-ton truck to transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from customer locations.
- Based in Western territory with ability to travel overnight up to 50% overnight.

- 5+ years of gas compression experience preferred.
- Existing relationships with current customer base in refineries and/ or chemical plants.

Pay Range: $125,000- 160,000 Annually. Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
