Summary:
Under the direction of the Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor, the inventory control specialist monitors, tracks, and manages a company's stock to ensure sufficient quantities are available, prevent overstocking or shortages, and maintain accurate records. Key responsibilities include overseeing inventory receiving, storage, and distribution, performing regular counts and audits, and using inventory management software.
Essential Duties:
- Perform daily cycle counting to ensure the accuracy of inventory records, maintaining the most up to date, and efficient methods of inventory control available
- Investigate and resolve all inventory inaccuracies in a timely manner
- Develop, monitor and maintain records of adjustments to inventory, working with finance and warehouse personnel to resolve any errors
- Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
- Create and support strong trusting working relationships within team and across the organization.
- Provides recommendations on process improvement and may assist in implementation
- Has a clear understanding of the receiving and pulling processes
- Reviews & organizes warehouse bin locations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership

The ideal candidate possesses the following experience, skills, and abilities:
- Experience performing cycle count, shipping/receiving, stock control, inventory, and recordkeeping functions preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems; Syteline preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate with leadership and across multiple departments
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
- Knowledge of warehouse and inventory integrity standards
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 30 pounds
- Minimum 2 years of similar warehouse experience required
Education
- High school diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED) required
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 8-10 hours/day.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to routinely physically lift up to 30lbs.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts (Must be able to wear PPE – Steel-toed Shoes, Safety Glasses, protective gloves)
- Exposure to normal machine shop environment with periodic noise.
Mental/Visual/Physical Effort:Walks, stands, reaches, and bends frequently. Periodic lifting of moderate to heavy items may be required. Possesses good hand/eye coordination.
Physical Hazards:Normal operations require eye protection, steel toed footwear, and occasionally hand protection.
Working Conditions:Exposure to normal machine shop environment with periodic noise. Limited disagreeable factors present.

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
