KBR is seeking a Pressure Vessel Systems Engineer to support our SMAS II Program within the Science and Space division. This temporary assignment will provide PVS engineering support at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) for up to three months.
🔧 Responsibilities
- Review, conduct, and evaluate pressure system engineering safety analyses and risk assessments.
- Assess submittals, design criteria, drawings, and documentation for compliance with government standards.
- Perform safety/risk analyses and identify hazard sources and undesired effects throughout the system lifecycle.
- Recommend mitigation actions to prevent hazards from resulting in accidents.
- Prepare systems analyses in accordance with government codes and standards.
- Attend design reviews and technical interchange meetings to provide safety assessments and support.
- Build strong interpersonal relationships and interface effectively with customers.
🎓 Qualifications
Education:
- BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Fluids); MS in Engineering preferred.
Experience:
- Level 3: 4+ years of engineering experience
- Level 4: 8+ years of engineering experience
Basic Compensation:
$39.68/hr. - $87.68/hr.
The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidate's working location, knowledge, skills, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
