The WorkThe Technical Operations Coordinator will support the preparation, verification, and delivery classified (Secret) media for Navy customers. The role blends basic systems level technical work (Linux/Bash), strong Office productivity skills (especially Excel), and excellent interpersonal abilities to manage schedules, customer interactions, and security compliant documentation.
Key Responsibilities
• Media Management – Perform checksum verification of disk copies, compare results to master images, and ensure all media meet Secret labeling and handling requirements.
• Label Production – Create and maintain PowerPoint based label templates that comply with security standards.
• Schedule & Delivery Planning – Update and maintain delivery plans up to six months in advance; coordinate with internal engineering, logistics, and Navy stakeholders to meet delivery windows.
• Customer Interaction – Serve as the primary point of contact for Navy customers, providing status updates and addressing queries promptly.
• Documentation & Reporting – Generate task tracking reports, maintain accurate records in Excel, and support broader team reporting needs.
• Technical Support – Execute basic Linux commands and Bash scripts to automate verification tasks; troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Hardware Awareness – Apply general knowledge of computer and networking hardware when coordinating media shipments.

Basic Qualifications:• Windows & Office (Excel) experience.
• Strong proficiency with Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation) and overall Office suite.
• Task planning and scheduling.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, create schedules, and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
• Confident, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Problem solving & reasoning.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and devise effective solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a self-starter attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; comfortable interacting with customers and internal stakeholders.
• High accuracy in documentation and capacity to juggle several responsibilities simultaneously.
Desired Skills:• Basic Linux familiarity. Ability to navigate a Linux environment; not required to be an expert.
• Bash (or other shell) scripting Experience writing or modifying simple scripts to automate verification tasks.
• Computer & networking hardware knowledge General understanding of hardware components to support media handling logistics.
• PowerPoint design for secure labeling Experience creating compliant label templates.
• Project management tool exposure Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar for task tracking.
• Programming knowledge Additional language skills (e.g., Python) are a plus for future automation.
• Navy / Military familiarity Insight into Navy schedules and security protocols enhances effectiveness.
• Graphic design basics Ability to produce professional looking graphics beyond PowerPoint, if needed.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
