Your Impact
The SC Continuous Improvement Consultant is a critical role for driving operational excellence across Lowe's end-to-end supply chain network. This role leads strategic initiatives to identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, and enhance service levels while reducing costs. The incumbent will use Lean Six Sigma methodologies to embed a culture of continuous improvement, standardization, and
cross-functional collaboration across logistics, distribution, fulfillment, and transportation operations. With deep experience in supply chain operations and a proven track record of leading large-scale
improvement programs, this leader will serve as a key partner to engineering, operations, technology, and analytics teams to optimize supply chain performance and ensure alignment with corporate goals.
What You Will Do
• Own the vision, strategy, and execution of continuous improvement initiatives across distribution centers, fulfillment nodes, and transportation networks.
• Conduct maturity assessments and operational diagnostics to identify opportunities for improved throughput, accuracy, cost reduction, and cycle time.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and DMAIC methodologies to implement data-driven solutions and drive sustainable performance gains.
• Collaborate with network engineering, operations leadership, IT, and supply chain planning to align improvement projects with broader enterprise objectives.
• Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators; lead root cause analyses and use statistical tools to deliver actionable insights.
• Develop and deploy standardized operating procedures and reporting frameworks to promote consistency, compliance, and operational visibility.
• Build organizational CI capability through training programs, mentorship, and leadership coaching focused on Lean thinking and problem-solving culture.
• Identify and support the implementation of process automation, reporting tools, and digital solutions to improve productivity and operational intelligence.
• Drive change management initiatives to ensure stakeholder buy-in and long-term adoption of process improvements across the supply chain network.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience
• 10+ Years of progressive experience in supply chain operations, logistics, or process improvement within a large-scale distribution or fulfillment environment
• 5-7 Years of demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams (including engineering, operations, planning, and IT) with strong stakeholder management skills
• 5-7 Years of experience of supply chain operations, including warehouse processes, transportation flows, inventory management, and fulfillment strategies
• 5-7 Years of experience in supply chain process design, time studies, and performance analytics
• 5-7 Years demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide continuous improvement programs with measurable impact
Preferred Skills/Education
• Master’s degree in Business, Operations, or Industrial Engineering
• Experience in a multi-node, high-volume retail supply chain environment
• Familiarity with WMS, TMS, LMS, and data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL
• Lean Six Sigma Certification-IASSC
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI
