Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Systems Analyst to join the Common Systems and Compliance team. This position will be on site in El Segundo, CA.
The chosen candidate will perform basic research and analysis of processes, applications, systems and data to identify and translate routine business needs into functional requirements and specifications. Support customers in clarifying requirements and assist with development and execution of moderately complex tests to validate system functionality.

Key responsibilities
- Analyze business processes, systems and data to elicit and document functional requirements and use cases.
- Work with customers and stakeholders to clarify routine requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Assist in the design and execution of moderately complex test plans to validate system behavior against requirements.
- Support cross-functional teams during implementation, troubleshooting, and deployment activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by documenting findings, recommending process improvements, and promoting first-time quality and safety awareness.
Required qualifications
- 2–4 years of relevant experience analyzing business processes, systems or applications.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear functional specifications and basic test cases.
- Practical experience or general understanding of Python or similar scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, R, JavaScript) and how they integrate with applications and data workflows.
- Strong analytical skills: collect, organize, synthesize data and summarize findings with actionable recommendations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; customer-focused and collaborative.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or bachelor’s in related field preferred.
- Familiarity with test management tools and basic SQL or data analysis tools.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior work in regulated or safety-conscious environments.
- Experience with information technology, data analytics, and/or system architectures
- Experience producing and executing a Technical Information Technology plan
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning, including the use of Compass Contract or a similar MRP system
- Experience organizing, facilitating virtual meetings and virtual teams

Summary pay range: $73,950 - $100,050
