Job Summary
Responsible for leading a team of Software Development Engineers in the planning and designing of software and web applications. Manages projects from design to testing, including new programs, enhancements and modifications. Collaborates with Quality Assurance team to conduct testing. Has overall responsibility for developing/administering performance standards for organizational unit. Manages team which may include exempt and non-exempt employees. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies and assists in the development and meeting of departmental budget.

Core Responsibilities
Manage the operation team’s response to all application outages and incidents to ensure rapid response, escalation, resolution, and timely communications to senior leadership
Coach, develop, and mentor team members as needed to keep them motivated, engaged, and performing at high levels
Ensure operations team members and customers adhere to approved processes for managing application deployments, support tickets, production outages/impairments, Kanban boards, infrastructure builds, and application intake
Oversee the creation and maintenance of data and metric systems to track operational workflows; maintain records of results and feedback; analyze data and metrics, identify problem areas, and provide actionable insight to leadership
Make critical operational decisions (rollbacks, break fixes, failovers, etc.) during outages and/or impairments
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; must be able to work nights, weekends, and variable schedule(s).
Leadership: Servant leadership, project management, people development, ITIL, Agile, program management, organizational change, conflict resolution
Technical: Good understanding of relational databases, NoSQL databases, operating systems, cloud computing, web technologies, CI/CD, Jira, ServiceNow, ML/AI technologies, SaaS, DBaaS
