About your role:
As a Vice President of Information Technology responsible for Production and Stability Management, you will oversee our most critical Core Authorizations assets in the Merchant Acquiring business, which process over 350 million transactions per day. In this critical role, you will collaborate with senior leadership and internal teams to identify and implement innovative technologies that enhance our operational efficiency and competitive edge. You will lead a dynamic team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement while ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical solutions.
What you'll do:
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of IT initiatives to support organizational goals.
- Implement and automate telemetry / observability standards across our platforms.
- Implement CI/CD tools for faster product delivery from our development teams
- Provide KPIs on the performance of our systems, applications, and change within those systems
- Assist our development teams in the migration of legacy environments to the cloud and manage those new environments
- Attend Incident Management calls to address real time issues, as needed, 24/7/365
- Liaise with senior management providing initial, ongoing, and resolution updates for issues
- Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, applications, and security to ensure optimal performance
Experience you'll need to have:
- 12+ years of experience as a hands-on technical architect with a background in designing and implementing complex software solutions
- 10+ years of experience in programming languages such as Java, C, C++, C#, Python, and JavaScript
- 6+ years of experience leading high-performing, global IT teams
- 5+ years of experience with Jira, Confluence, GIT, Splunk, and certificate management tools such as Venafi
- 3+ years of experience with database management tools like SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience managing legacy environments, e.g. HP NonStop, AIX, Linux, Windows, Mainframe, etc.
- Experience in vendor management and staffing
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
- Experience in the financial technology industry
How you’ll work:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity
- You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role.
