We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Business Integrity to lead our Business Integrity and Anti-Corruption Compliance functions. This role is pivotal in upholding our ethical standards, managing investigations, and ensuring compliance with global anti-corruption laws. You will oversee a high-performing team and collaborate with senior leadership to drive a culture of integrity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of investigators, compliance specialists, and a senior anti-corruption attorney
Manage the company-wide confidential reporting program (hotline, email, and P.O. boxes)
Oversee investigations into alleged violations of the Code of Business Conduct and recommend appropriate remediation
Collaborate with HR and senior leadership on case outcomes and disciplinary actions
Maintain and oversee the Business Integrity case management system
Direct annual ethics training and targeted compliance education for employees
Manage the annual conflicts of interest certification process and ethics training recordkeeping
Conduct trend analysis and compliance data analytics to inform program improvements
Prepare regular reports for senior management, the Audit Committee, and the Board
Advise on Code of Business Conduct interpretation and compliance strategies
Provide legal guidance on ethics and compliance issues, including anti-corruption compliance matters
Oversee due diligence and approvals for high-risk third-party partners
Manage outside counsel on anti-corruption matters and investigations as needed
Promote an ethical culture through internal communications and external benchmarking
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed to practice in Texas or another U.S. jurisdiction
15+ years of legal experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
Deep expertise in anti-corruption laws, compliance, and investigations
In-house ethics and compliance experience strongly preferred
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels
Strong writing skills for reports, summaries, and executive communications
Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and integrity
Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex issues quickly
Experience managing cross-functional teams and external counsel
Location: Houston, TX, or Washington, DC metro area (Hybrid)
