Job Summary
The Land-Based Phalanx Weapon System (LPWS) Field Representative will serve as a critical liaison between the LPWS Program Office and deployed units operating Counter-Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar (C-RAM) systems, including RAM Warn Intercept. This individual will support both Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) operations, ensuring seamless coordination, system integration, and mission success.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Will provide operational, technical, and programmatic support to the LPWS Product Office, a subordinate organization within the Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS).
- Will support multiple PEO MS weapons and force protection capabilities including the C-RAM and Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) capabilities, each of which are a system-of-systems (SoS) program.
- The position requires 6-month deployment rotation to locations OCONUS where the candidate will:
- Provide coordination between PEO MS organizations and deployed military organizations responsible for the employment of PEO MS force protection capabilities.
- Identify, isolate, and report problems to the PEO MS along with recommendations for resolution.
- Support in theater site surveys to develop plans for installation of C-RAM and CUAS capabilities at new or existing locations.
- Coordinate and supervise contractor support during installation of new capabilities.
- Will monitor the performance of the installation contractor and provide observations/comments to the Program Office.
- Will analyze and present solutions to system integration issues between multiple systems such as the Forward Area Air Defense Systems Command & Control (FAAD C2), sensors such as Ku-band Radio Frequency System (KuRFS), Sentinel, and Fire finder radars, network issues, and all other issues related to C-RAM/CUAS SoS.
- Provide technical support for LPWS systems and FAAD C2 during fielding and operational deployments.
- Will plan, observe, and provide oversight of training associated with the C-RAM & CUAS capabilities.
- Assist Operations with daily and monthly reports to the Program Director and PEO Missles and Space
- Will interact with Military, Government, and contractors to accomplish the mission.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum Education – High School Graduate (or equivalent)
- Minimum Years of Experience - 15 Years concentrated in functional responsibility area of the position to be filled.
- Ability to travel OCONUS up to 6 months at a time.
- Active DoD Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of system integration and tactical network operations.
- Ability to conduct technical training and produce detailed operational reports.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across diverse teams.
- Ability to travel CONUS approximately 10% of the time.
