The Boeing Company is seeking a Data Steward (Associate or Experienced) (to join their Enterprise Service team located in Arlington, VA; Charleston, SC; Everett, WA; Renton, WA; Long Beach, CA; Seal Beach, CA; Auburn, WA; Bellevue, WA; Charleston, SC; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas, TX; El Segundo, CA; Hazelwood, MO; Mesa, AZ, and Ridley Park, PA.
The Data Steward is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and governance of data across the organization. This role acts as a bridge between data governance policies and operational implementation, ensuring that data is properly classified, standardized, and managed to support strategic decision-making, compliance, and business operations.
Enterprise Services is a team of 2,500+ employees whose collective mission is to enable the build of Boeing’s products. Enterprise Services provides strategic partnership and support to all Boeing business units through multiple service towers – creating outsized impact and value across the Enterprise. The individual in this role would be a part of Enterprise Services Technology and Systems organization.
Up to 20% travel may be required to other U.S. Boeing sites.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain data quality by identifying, analyzing, and resolving data integrity issues
Implement and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures
Collaborate with data owners, business units, and IT teams to define and document data definitions, metadata, and business rules
Work with the Data Governance Lead to monitor data lifecycle and ensure appropriate data retention, privacy, and security practices
Support the Records and Information Management team to ensure strategic alignment of information and management of business records in a changing regulatory environment
Act as a subject matter expert and owner of assigned data domains (e.g., customer, product, finance)
Partner with business and IT stakeholders to provide guidance across the enterprise for the management of information types and the elimination of redundant, obsolete, or trivial information
Engage broadly with leaders within Service Towers (i.e. Indirect Supply Chain, Real Estate, Facilities & Asset Management, Executive Flight) and functional partners to frame, structure, and prioritize business problems
Work with business analysts and data engineers to validate and cleanse data in systems
Support master data management (MDM) initiatives and data classification efforts
Provide training and support to data users on proper data handling practices
Participate in data governance councils and contribute to policy development
Able to travel 20% domestically

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business, or a related field
2+ years of experience in data stewardship, data quality, or data governance
Experience with data management tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Talend) is a plus
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
Experience with databases, SQL, and data modeling
Desired Qualifications (Preferred Skills/Experience):
3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong understanding of data quality concepts and data governance frameworks
Ability to interpret and analyze complex data
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range Associate (Level 2): $51,000 - $78,000
Summary Pay Range Experienced (Level 3): $63,750 - $100,050
