What does a successful Industrial Engineer do?
As an Industrial Engineer at Fiserv, you will drive cultural change by building strong partnerships with Business Unit leaders and enabling customer-centric, process-focused, and data-driven decision-making. You will apply industry best practices and proven methodologies to improve operational quality and increase client satisfaction. This role requires a proactive mindset and the ability to engage across the organization, presenting a clear vision for process improvement, gaining alignment, and leading implementation efforts that deliver measurable results.
What you will do:
- Act as a change agent to promote performance awareness and the use of structured process improvement tools.
- Translate operational data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions and investment priorities.
- Lead the assessment, identification, and realization of productivity and operational improvement opportunities across the Fiserv Output Solutions division.
- Support end-to-end process development—from early definition through implementation and sustainment.
- Develop solutions to complex problems by designing and implementing processes, procedures, tooling, and automation in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
- Facilitate regular reviews of quality and process performance metrics, identifying and driving improvement projects with measurable outcomes.
- Implement process solutions that integrate into business operations, accounting for cultural change, system dependencies, and organizational structure.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent military experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or quality/process improvement roles.
- 3+ years using data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, SQL, or Python.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
What would be great to have:
- Experience in Transactional Print, Direct Mail, or Secure Card production environments.
- Working knowledge of Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, Five S’s, Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Kaizen, SPC, Six Sigma.
- Understanding of ERP or job management systems used in high-volume production environments.
- Exposure to material handling automation and production equipment.
- Familiarity with finite capacity scheduling tools and APS systems.
- Experience with simulation software (Arena, FlexSim, or equivalent).

- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
