About your role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our IT team. This role is responsible for deploying and maintaining enterprise applications on server infrastructure and managing secure HSM networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, application deployment, or cryptographic hardware management.
What you’ll do:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain applications on primarily Windows-based servers, but also Linux/AIX.
- Monitor system performance and HSM health and troubleshoot issues related to application hosting environments and respond to alerts and incidents.
- Manage and maintain Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) including configuration, firmware updates, and key lifecycle operations.
- Ensure secure integration of HSMs with enterprise applications and services.
- Work with security teams to enforce cryptographic policies and compliance standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, deployment procedures, and HSM operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, FIPS 140-2).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security, Networking, and Application Development and provide Tier 2/3 support for infrastructure-related incidents.
Experience you’ll need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration.
- 3+ years of experience with Linux and Windows server environments
- 3+ years of experience with application deployment tools and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and security best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a relevant field, and/or equivalent military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience with HSMs (e.g., Thales, SafeNet, Utimaco) and cryptographic key management
- CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Linux+
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or equivalent
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – optional but beneficial.
