Description:Plan and perform standard inspection operations on a variety of sheet metal, welded, glass, rubber, chemical machined, shot peened, or routine machined parts and assemblies,
Follow ordinary drawings, written and oral instructions to inspect a variety of sheet metal, welded, glass, rubber, chemical machined, shot peened, or routine machined parts and assemblies, Work with gages, templates, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to insure adherence to specifications, Report and correct deviations in operational procedures, routing sequences, and process requirements as directed, DimensionaL1y inspect standard items to specification and visually for dents, scratches, cracks, burrs, sharp edges, and other surface irregularities, Inspect routine welds for uniformity of bead, cracks, burn through, porosity, etc., Check parts and assemblies for required machining, hardness, and finish, Maintain and process paperwork as required and perform related or similar inspection operations when directed, Refer unusual conditions to leadman or foreman.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires well rounded knowledge of sheet metal, welding, chemical machining and process operations. Also requires the ability to read and interpret drawings, to use shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments, equivalent to 2 years high school plus 2 to 3 years trades training.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
