Description:You will be the Environmental Health & Safety Engineer Staff for the Ocala, FL team, supporting MFC in the ongoing management and enhancement of environmental, safety, and health (ESH) programs, regulatory compliance, and providing technical and service-oriented support to plant personnel and functions.

As the Environmental Health & Safety Engineer Staff, you will represent the organization across multiple levels of the company and demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate organization strategy and objectives. Your focus will be on industrial hygiene and safety support, but you may also provide environmental support as needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the management and enhancement of ESH programs, regulatory compliance, and providing technical support to plant personnel and functions
- Representing the organization across multiple levels of the company and effectively communicating organization strategy and objectives
- Providing industrial hygiene and safety support, with potential environmental support as needed
- Working with cross-functional teams to analyze complex technical data using logic and quantitative reasoning
- Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of environmental, safety, and health regulations

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree in applicable or related safety, environmental, and/or industrial hygiene discipline, or related engineering/scientific degree (Chemistry, Environmental Safety and Health, Physics etc) or equivalent experience/combined higher education.
Minimum 5+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
Experience implementing, OSHA, safety and health standards, EPA, state and local environmental regulations and programs.
This facility requires special access and therefore all candidates must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:Certified Safety Professional certification (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygiene (CIH) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) other ESH nationally recognized certifications is a plus, yet, not specifically required.
Strengths in customer service and cooperative teaming, and a demonstrated capability in managing multiple projects/tasks effectively prioritizing tasks and work load, and ensuring timely closure of assignments.
Professional ESH experience in a manufacturing, test, or industrial environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, and Environmental requirements, regulations and associated compliance programs.
ESH experience in subject areas such as industrial safety, material handling, NFPA Life Safety Code, lock-out-tag-out, personal air sampling, indoor air quality assessments, ergonomics, hazard recognition and other industrial safety programs.
Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Skill in working independently and following through on assignments.
Experience managing multiple priorities, meet deadlines and be flexible.
Experience working effectively within a diverse population and collaborate with peers and leadership.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
