About your role:
Join the Clover Point of Sale team at Fiserv, building the front-end technology that powers millions of payments every day. The team delivers merchant-facing web and embedded UI experiences; this role architects and implements high-performance, scalable front-end applications that improve merchant operations. You will help shape product outcomes and drive engineering standards across a global platform.
What you’ll do:
- Architect, design, and develop front-end applications and reusable component libraries using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Lead end-to-end implementation of features, collaborating with product managers, designers, and back-end engineers to meet business objectives.
- Build server-side rendered and statically generated experiences using Next.js, and define front-end architecture and patterns.
- Advocate and implement best practices for testing, CI/CD, performance, and security across front-end deliverables.
- Troubleshoot complex application issues, drive root-cause analysis, and own production fixes and improvements.
- Mentor and coach engineers on technical design, code quality, and delivery practices; contribute to the technical roadmap and release planning.

Experience you’ll need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in JavaScript and TypeScript development with React (hooks, component architecture, state management).
- 5+ years of experience in Next.js, front-end architecture, modular component libraries, and Google Cloud Platform services (App Engine, Cloud Run, GKE), including containerization with Docker.
- 5+ years of experience in web application security and mitigation techniques (CSP, OAuth/OIDC, XSS, CSRF).
- 5+ years of experience integrating with and designing REST and GraphQL APIs.
- 4+ years of experience with automated testing frameworks and E2E testing (Cypress, Jest, Selenium).
- 4+ years of experience with build and bundling tools (Webpack, Babel), module federation, and Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
- 4+ years of equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience building and maintaining design systems with Storybook or equivalent.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and testing (WCAG 2.1, axe).
- Experience with web performance optimization and observability tools (Lighthouse, RUM, Sentry, Datadog).
- Knowledge of payment industry standards and PCI DSS considerations for front-end integrations.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers, conducting technical design reviews, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
How you’ll work:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role, as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
- This role requires the use of a computer and audio equipment.
