About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Aligned Finance Analyst for Middle Market Banking.
In this role, you will:- Assist one or more Lead Finance Analyst and or Senior Analyst in providing the line of Line of Business with high quality support by delivering data driven business insights and solutions. The Lead Analyst will provide day-to-day oversight of the Analyst work and completion of deliverables
- Build relationships with business partners, functional support leaders and within the finance team.
- Contribute to the execution of commercial banking's deposit strategy.
- Ensure work products and materials are accurate and raise concerns for further review
- Provide financial support for projects and other ad-hoc financial analysis
- Review monthly financial statements to understand business drivers causing variances to prior periods.
- Perform research and document causes of unusual items or variances
- Develop, design, implement and modify financial models and tools for business analysis.
Required Qualifications:- 2+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
- Experience analyzing and explaining commercial banking financial statements with a good understanding of Deposit and Loan Products
- Ability to build partnerships and a desire to consult with leadership
- Knowledge and understanding of Commercial Banking industry, exposure to Corporate Banking is helpful
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with Hyperion Essbase and Power BI, iris Web platforms or other data management, reporting and query tools
