As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Trane, you will be responsible for designing the equipment and systems that support these goals. You will lead engineering teams, develop concepts for new & improved commercial HVAC products and solve complex technical problems, leading to production of sustainable new products.

What you will do:
Develop product designs to meet performance, regulatory, quality and cost requirements.
Review and understand the technical feasibility of product and internal requirements.
Understand and apply applicable regulatory codes such as UL.
Participate in product improvement activities to identify opportunities to improve product performance and reduce cost. Lead projects to implement subsequent product design changes.
Design and select robust and cost-effective components and develop engineering specifications.
Complete system integration tasks including engineering design, engineering specifications, support creation of layouts and design reviews.
Provide leadership to engineering teams including engineers, designers, lab technicians
Develop laboratory test plans and analyze test data to ensure product performance and quality.
Manage project schedules and teams for assigned projects.
Perform process improvement projects to improve team productivity.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in an Engineering discipline
5+ years experience leading technical aspects of product design projects, validation testing, and root cause analysis
Deliver and lead technical designs to meet project and product requirements
