Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, utilizing equipment such as Hand carts as necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while maintaining accurate delivery logs.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with the delivery process.
- Handle heavy lifting and moving of packages, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations during loading and unloading processes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- MUST PASS an expensive background, MVR and drug screen process.
- Strong customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
- Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, including familiarity with loading docks and inventory management.
- Ability to operate a box truck or similar vehicle; experience with manual transmission is advantageous.
- Knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and moving tasks safely.
- Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
