Deputy Program Manager

We are seeking adynamic Deputy Program Manager to lead multiple teams, manage a portfolio of projects, and drive growth of our worksupporting Naval Aviation. You will lead multiple project teams supporting the sustainment of naval aircraft and systems, ensuring that projects are planned, executed, and delivered on time and within budget to enable operational readiness and mission success for our Navy clients. You will coordinate with our broader team which provides development, integration, testing, and reliability engineering for a wide variety of Department of Defense (DoD) platforms and systems.
Most duties may be performed remotely, but weekly in-person meetings with the KBR team and frequent in-person meetings with clientswill be strongly encouraged.Travel to other sites outside Jacksonville, FL could be needed several times per year.
- Lead and manage multiple teams, providing supervision, training, mentorship, and support.
- Hire new talent as needed to meet emerging requirements, including job posting, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Oversee project cost, schedule, and performance of projects. Guide project managers/ team leads in setting milestones, reviewing technical progress, tracking expenditures, and reporting to clients and KBR management.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to understand and meet their requirements.
- Develop or refineinternal processes to enable an increased volume of work.
- When customer demand exists for a new capability, decide whether to establish that capability within your team (hiring, training, etc.), use another KBR team, or send the work to a subcontractor.
- Ensure the completion of contract requirements, including status reports and deliverables.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing clients or adjacent organizations.
- Relay client feedback to other managers and colleagues within KBR.
- Experience:At least 10 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with government contracting processes.
- Education: A BS/BA degree or an equivalent combination of education and additional experience.
- Clearance: Current DoD Secret Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain & maintain one.
- Proximity to Jacksonville, FL to enable face-to-face collaboration with government clients and KBR team members.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or a similar certification
- Military experience, ideally within Naval aviation maintenance
- Technical experience within science, technology, or engineering
