DLA: Supply Systems Analyst
Job Summary
The Supply Systems Analyst supports the Distribution Center’s mission to manage and execute efficient logistics operations including receiving, storage, inventory, packaging, COSIS, stock control, issue processing, packing, shipping, and distribution of contingency materials for both DLA wholesale and Army SSA retail operations. This role focuses on analyzing supply system data, resolving operational issues, and serving as the primary point of contact for Warehouse Management System (WMS) communications with the Government.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyze supply system transactions and data to identify problem areas and recommend solutions.
- Evaluate the feasibility of consolidating, eliminating, or expanding interrelated supply system functions.
- Assess the impact of proposed changes to systems or regulations.
- Coordinate with functional users to resolve operational and procedural issues.
- Conduct research into functional problem areas and supply program relationships.
- Perform studies, reviews, and investigations to improve supply system efficiency.
- Apply thorough knowledge of policies and procedures to manage material through receipt, storage, warehousing, issue, packing, and transportation.
- Serve as the WMS Point of Contact (POC), acting as the central liaison with the Government for WMS-related communications and information requests.
- Utilize WMS and other Government-Furnished Data Systems to meet Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience using WMS or an equivalent Warehouse Management System within the past five (5) years.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and system transactions.
- Knowledge of supply chain operations and logistics functions.
- Familiarity with government logistics policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience conducting supply system studies and evaluations.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and government personnel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience serving as a liaison or point of contact for system-related communications.
