Asset Performance Manager

KBR’s Sustainable Technology division is seeking a strategic and customer-focused leader for within the Asset Performance Product Service Line (PSL). This role is central to helping our technology licensees and customers, including both install base and grassroots projects, optimize their operations and maximize their asset performance. They will report to the Global Director of Asset Performance and be supported by the SubPSL Leaders and Sales to build the pipeline of opportunities and manage customer accounts.
The Asset Performance Manager will support our customers to drive measurable improvements in production, reliability, asset integrity, emmisions, and operating costs, while actively building a pipeline of opportunities and taking the lead in business development efforts for each of the Technology PSLs. The role requires the ability to travel to customer sites and other KBR offices as needed.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Customer Engagement & Strategic Planning
- Partner with customers to understand operational goals and long-term investment strategies.
- Support operations and capital expenditure planning by identifying performance gaps and recommending targeted solutions.
- Establish Service Agreements that ensure the appropriate level and range of support is available.
- Ensure existing agreements are tracked, renewed and maximize revenue producing potential from each agreement.
- Performance Optimization & Value Delivery
- Develop and establish tailored support models and programs that deliver sustained levels of performance and measurable improvements by pulling together the range of capabilities and solutions available within KBR.
- Monitor client program KPIs and proactively support them to address risks to operational efficiency and reliability.
- Opportunity Development & Business Growth
- Identify and qualify new opportunities within existing accounts and grassroots projects.
- Collaborate with Sales, Technology PSL, Project Management and Engineering teams to shape and advance solution proposals.
- Contribute to the business development strategy by aligning customer needs with KBR’s service offerings.
- Relationship Management
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across customer organizations, from technical teams to executive leadership.
- Support regular performance reviews and strategic alignment sessions.
- Operational Excellence
- Utilize KBR’s CRM system to manage customer interactions, track performance metrics, and maintain account visibility.
- Ensure accurate documentation of success plans, opportunity pipelines, and customer feedback.
- Customer Advocacy & Continuous Improvement
- Represent the voice of the customer within KBR, influencing service delivery and product development.
- Share insights, success stories, and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Ability to work in cross-functional and multi-cultural environments
- Must have the ability to clearly convey technical concepts, business models in both verbal and written communications to clients, peers and KBR management.
- 10+ years of experience in asset performance, or customer-facing technical roles in energy, chemicals, or industrial sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, opportunity shaping, and strategic account growth.
- Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, operational KPIs, and capital investment strategies.
- Experience with CRM platforms and data-driven performance management.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
Preferred Education & Skills:
- Familiarity with process technologies and licensing models.
- Experience supporting operating assets, grassroots and brownfield projects.
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into strategic business value.
Travel:
- Travel to clients/stakeholders site/offices periodically as well as conference attendance (both domestic and internationally). Must be willing and available for 25-50% domestic and international travel
