About the Role
Workday is looking for a Sr. Tax Analyst to join our growing Tax Team. The individual will play a key role in supporting U.S. Domestic Income Tax Compliance and Tax Provision (ASC740) functions. This individual will also have opportunities to assist other aspects of the corporate tax function, including tax process transformation and tax planning. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated and collaborative individual with a growth mindset, relevant corporate tax experience and curiosity to learn.
Responsibilities:
Prepare the U.S. federal and state income tax return workpapers as well as the state net worth capital tax workpaper, including extension and quarterly estimated tax computation and payments remittance.
Assist reviewing the income tax returns prepared by external tax consultants.
Assist keeping track of the federal and state income tax legislation updates.
Assist with tax research and tax technical memo in supporting the company’s tax positions.
Assist with income tax notices and tax audits.
Assist with the quarterly and year end income tax provision computation.
Assist with monthly income cash tax forecasting.
Maintain OneSource Tax Provision and tax attributes modules.
Play a key role in tax process improvement and automation.
Assist with ad hoc tax projects.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or corporate income tax.
Knowledge of US federal corporate income tax returns, such as filing form 1120 and FBAR, and state and local corporate income tax returns.
Other Qualifications:
CA or Inter-CA (preferred)
Strong curiosity to learn and grow in a dynamic tax environment.
Experience with OneSource Tax Provision software (preferred).
Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion in a fast-paced setting.
Strong time management and multitasking skills to meet tight deadlines.
A team player mindset, fostering collaboration and a positive work environment.
