Assists the supervisor in overseeing all pool/recreation operations, including activities, service, cleanliness and functionality of facilities. Performs team member duties when business levels require. Assists in monitoring the appropriate operations of the pool area with its cabanas, the fitness center, gazebo and entertainment activities. Trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure staff follows daily shift checklists with a high emphasis on service and focus on exceeding guests' expectations.
- Coordinate day to day cleaning operations of the pool area including proper maintenance of chairs, tables and cabanas.
- Supervise the appropriate cleaning of the pool following procedures and using adequate chemicals.
- Supervise adequate controls are maintained at the fitness center facilities.
- Ensure adequate inventory of towels at the gazebo for the use of guests and club members.
- Prepare a monthly itinerary of activities for the weekends' enjoyment of guests, visitors and social club members.
- Ensure safety and security measures are followed by visitors at all times.
- Train staff and ensure service standards are followed.
- Participate in interviews, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Along with supervisor and/or department head, assist in administrative duties such as scheduling, inventory of required items for the department and others.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- High school diploma, minimum required
- 2 years of customer service experience, required
- 1 year of supervisory experience, required
- Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, collect accurate information and professionally resolve problems
- High levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger, when situations arise
- Valid CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, highly preferred
- Ability to input and retrieve information from moderately complex computer system
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with others
- Able to lift, bend, stoop, walk, run, push and pull as well as standing for extended periods of time
- Availability to work different shifts and days, including weekends and holidays
