Argon, a subsidiary of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), has an exciting opportunity for an Associate or Mid-Level Project Management Specialist (Level 2 or 3) to join the Airborne Business unit organization in Smithfield, PA!
The role includes managing functional team resources to execute projects for internal and external customers producing harnesses, electronic boxes, racks, systems, spares, and repairs.
Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
- Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
- Develops, collects, organizes and provides data, updates task, to maintain status of programs, schedule, customer and supplier commitments and compliance.
- Coordinates document work statements and resulting schedules.
- Identifies and provide reports on performance variances, project status, change information to project team.
- Communicates plan changes and recovery plans to ensure commitment to stakeholders.
- Develops overall project plan consistent with project objectives as defined by the project owner and key partners in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards).
- Works to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision makers.
- May lead others and advise all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
- Acts as primary project contact to establish key partner requirements and project objectives.
- Ensures that all project control systems within the scope of the project are in place and integrates project data for decision makers.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience managing project schedules and managing programs and projects
- Experience in a role that required effective time management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, facilitation, and organizational skills
- 1+ years of experience in a role that requires organizational skills with the capability to prioritize, facilitate, and coordinate multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- PMP certification
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project, Primavera, or other project management tools
- Experience developing and executing operating rhythms, integrated program schedules, project plans, and/or metrics
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience in facilitating meetings and presenting to senior leaders
- Experience working in a manufacturing, assembly and/or aerospace environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience working in a multifaceted work environment, including managing multiple priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Summary pay range:
Associate (Level 2): $68,850 - $93,150
Mid-Level (Level 3): $87,550 - $118,450
