em-tec is located in Finning, Germany, and has a 30-year history of producing innovative flow measurement equipment used in connection with cardiac, vascular and transplant surgery, dialysis and "life support" procedures, automated bioprocess monitoring, and laboratory and industrial processes where flexible tubing is used. The business was acquired by PSG in 2020. The medical segment, centered around larger Key Accounts, represents the largest share of the em-tec business with the balance primarily in Bioprocessing.
Position Summary:
In his role the Technical Account Manager will be the main point of contact for the em-tec OEM customers. He will act as a bridge between our customers’ needs and the technical and commercial teams at em-tec. Using a technical-consultive Sales approach, this role is not only able to quickly learn and understand customers’ use case scenarios and translate them into solutions within the em-tec product portfolio, but also to successfully sell them afterwards. Always striving for customer satisfaction, the Technical Account Manager is helping our customers attaining the maximum possible value from the products they have purchased.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serving existing and new OEM customers as a reliable first point of contact, source of information and initial technical consultant, thereby bringing customer relationships to the next level.
- Achieving projected gains through development and deployment of an “Added-Value” and “Consultive-Sales” approach instead of simple order taking.
- Compiling technical concepts into customer-tailored commercial offers together with R&D, Product Management, and Customer Operations and successfully pursuing them.
- Identifying new OEM customers at a very early stage to develop, execute and commercialize innovative technical solutions in close collaboration with Product Management and R&D.
- Serving as an exceptional example of customer-centric behavior for others, always transferring the voice of the customer into the organization.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience within the MedTech industry, working in a technical customer-facing role, Product Development or Project Management.
- Masters’s degree in engineering or another science-related field
- Willingness to travel up to 50 %, mainly within Germany and Southern Europe.
- Ability to work with little supervision and communicate plans and outcomes effectively
- Open mindset and excellent communication skills with the ability to create sustainable personal relationships in a fast and effective way.
- Strong team-player and problem-solving mindset with an intense commitment to score
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluency in German and English
