Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Job Summary:
Supervises and coordinates the activities of employees performing U.S. Navy RSUPPLY, open purchase and Purchase Card acquisitions for the Navy Support Element (NSE) and Navy Construction Element (NCE) logistics support and production operations. Supervises and coordinates the activities of logistic personnel, data entry personnel, supply clerks, forklift operation, and warehouse workers who are performing a wide variety of general warehousing and inventory duties to obtain optimal use of equipment, facilities, and personnel. Coordinates with other supervisor to ascertain compatibility of procedures among various organizations or branches engaged in logistic support activities and to ensure a close integration of procurement, warehouse, and container production operations. Estimates, requisitions, and inspects material. Establishes proper inventory and financial records controls. Analyzes and evaluates system inputs from subordinates and audits outputs. Ensures compliance with administrative policies, procedures, and government regulations. Recommends or initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary actions. Recommends changes to procedures as appropriate. Ensure compliance with administrative policies, procedures, and governmental regulations. Complies will all program ISO policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree with a major study in logistics engineering, property control/inventory, supply management, accounting or related field.
- In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credit, other formalized training or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
- Five (5) years of progressive work experience in a logistics operations support environment.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Must be a US Citizen. Proof required.
- Working knowledge of R-SUPPLY, Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Share Point software, GCSS-MC and STRATIS integrated applications.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
