The Role:
Responsible to plan, execute, deploy and maintain automated material delivery processes and configuration. This coordination requires interfacing with MGO, EPS, and PPS daily.
What You'll Do:
- Evaluate current material processes compared to BOP and develop action items to resolve gaps.
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.
- Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production
- Actively participates in detail business requirements gathering and achievement of project milestones.
- Automation training development and execution lead for End Users.
- Support operational Group Leaders, Team Leaders and Team members in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Identify, plan and lead operational plant readiness activities to deploy automation.
- Planning and operational support for all systems (MGO, PPS, EPS, WMS).
- Responsible for monitoring gaps in MGO routings .
- Responsible for planning, configuration, and validation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Key User Training (KUT).
- Operational automation focal point after Go Live – ensures that there are no interruptions to the assembly line or warehouse due to system issues.
- Develop and lead Manual Operation Process (MOP) at the shop floor.
- Responsible for KPI’s, metrics, and data reporting to leadership and central office (including enhancements) aiming at Productivity Opportunities.
- Configuration lead for CI process – having the ability to adapt on the fly to changes that impact the production floor.
- Technical support for getting the automation back online.
Qualifications (Basic Required):
- 1+ year people leader experience
- 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing environment
- Deep understanding of complex supply chain systems
- High functional capability with supply chain floor systems – MGO, EPS, PPS, VBIMS, etc.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and lean material processes; Logistics, Receiving, Internal Material Flow, LMS kitting/sequencing.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with GMS SLT implementation and execution
- Ability to travel as needed on a local scale for training purpose if required
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks in a project, effective project planning in terms of resources, strategies, cost, and time, with ability to meet project timelines
- Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complex
- Knowledge of work measurement and work standards
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required
- Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals required
- Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project
- Coordinates input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions
- Open minded and willing to use data to improve productivity; use data to help drive productivity improvements in the plant
- Keeps abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise

What Gives You a Competitive Edge (Basic preferred):
- Prior experience with an automation systems is preferred but not necessary
- Multi plant and/or functional experience preferred
- Experience with GMS SLT implementation and execution
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering with 10 years of plant floor experience
