Responsibilities:
- Lead creation and execution of the weekly/monthly SIOP file, interpreting business needs and communicating requirements to applicable teams.
- Facilitate cross-functional SIOP meetings, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and financial plans.
- Translate OEM/customer forecasts and EDI releases into actionable capacity, scheduling, and labor plans.
- Build and maintain capacity models, scheduling worksheets, and scenario planning tools in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Drive execution of supply plans through purchasing and production scheduling teams.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to establish appropriate minimum order quantities (MOQs) to support efficiency.
- Ensure ERP parameters and customer EDI data remain accurate through ongoing monitoring and updates.
- Provide executive-level reporting on forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, supply risks, and customer delivery performance (OTIF).
- Lead monthly SIOP reporting to measure effectiveness across forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, and customer satisfaction.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in demand, capacity, and supply planning processes, with focus on efficiency, scrap reduction, and delivery performance.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support supply chain and business objectives.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in business or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in SIOP, demand planning, supply planning, or capacity planning within a manufacturing environment; automotive Tier 1 experience strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify and capture opportunities through data analysis; Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems; IQMS experience preferred. Experience with EDI releases and OEM customer portals strongly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills; experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and influence across organizational boundaries; prior experience managing or coaching a team is a plus.
- Strong business acumen with a collaborative, cross-functional approach.
- Financial acumen and ability to connect SIOP outputs to operational KPIs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and drive results in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Preferences:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification strongly preferred.
- Experience in injection molding and assembly manufacturing environments a plus.
- Demonstrated success implementing or improving SIOP processes in a customer-driven, high-volume environment.
