Overview:
Allied Doors is looking for a Controller to join our financial team. As a growing company, our ideal candidate will be highly detailed, have experience in financial planning and reporting, and most of all have a desire to be a part of a growing family company. If you are interested in joining our team, please read the responsibilities and qualifications below. Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Manage the accounting department and ensure the accuracy of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to upper management, highlighting the company's financial health and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the company’s budget, ensuring that expenses align with projected revenues and financial goals.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Team Leadership: Supervise accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations and professional development.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to evaluate potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
Required Qualifications
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Experience
- At least 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or finance, with a strong background in financial reporting and management
- Strong analytical skills and financial quarterly reporting
- Attention to detail
- Leadership abilities with experience managing a team
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems
