Job Summary:
This position works directly with application architects to tune infrastructure performance, review and execute architecture changes, and maintain data quality through export, ETL, and data modeling standards.
What You Will Do:
- Daily monitoring of Production Databases (Oracle Enterprise Manager) and Oracle infrastructure / OS level (Nagios, etc) 
- Identification and optimization of long running queries 
- Analysis of Journal Logs utilizing Siemens Journal Workbench 
- Collaboration with Architects/Support on changes 
- Tuning / Engagement for development environments 
- Development and optimization of custom python scripts to ingest data into Snowflake 
- Data modeling and data transformation using SQL inside of Snowflake 
- Lead an agency staff to execute data lake projects using engineering and compliance data 
What You Have:
- Core Application Systems: Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations. 
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. 
- Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design. 
- System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle. 
- Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation. - Level Working Knowledge: - Discovers, analyzes, and resolves hardware, software or application problems. 
- Works with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools and utilities. 
- Handles calls related to product features, applications, and compatibility standards. 
- Analyzes code, logs, and current systems as part of advanced troubleshooting. 
- Records and reports specific technical problems, solving processes and tools that have been used 
 
 
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Previous Teamcenter design engineering and Teamcenter compliance systems experience with BoM knowledge 
- Previous Snowflake architecture and execution knowledge 
- Previous data governance and data quality knowledge 
- High level of customer focus with professional communication skills. 
- Demonstrated quick and clear decision-making skills, strong people management, and a focus on developing others. 
- Self-starter with strong technical leadership skills and business acumen. 
- Able to communicate technical information effectively with management, work groups, and others within the business and supply base.

- The ideal location for this role is East Peoria, IL or Dallas, TX 
- This position requires the employee to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
