Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM)
The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre’s (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.
The Opportunity:
KBR is seeking a Technical Data Officer to work within our dynamic CLCM team in support of the Royal Australian Navy’s fleet of Amphibious Combat and Sealift ships.
Under limited supervision, the Technical Data Officer will assist both internal and external client stakeholders in the use of applications used in the Data Management Environment including but not limited to AMPS, CMT, MILIS, and NAVALLOW.
The Technical Data Officer will assist in the validation of various data formats and provide feedback (written and verbal) to the originator with recommended solutions and provide data analysis support across the CLCM.
This role is based out of Garden Island, Sydney.
Responsibilities:
- Support demand management analysis by interrogation of an Operational Model to answer ‘what if ‘operational scenarios, where ‘demand management’ is a process of determining the impact of changing operational tempo upon other variables such as reliability, availability, maintainability and life cycle cost.
- Support development of basic Structured Querying Language (SQL) queries
- Interpret and manipulate relational and object-oriented database schemas.
- Assist in the conversion of various data formats in preparation for upload into a component of the Data Management Environment
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of processes including discussion and written processes.
- Participate in the Data Assurance frameworks in place across the data management environment through the execution of processes including Security/Access Management, Data Integrity and Data Alignment.
- Responsible for the collection and management of information from one or more sources and the distribution of that information to one or more audiences.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
Essential
- Data Management Experience in an Asset management environment
- Experience with AMPS, CMT, MILIS and NAVALLOW
- Qualifications or Certification in at least one of the following:
- SQL Server databases
- Ingres Database
- Oracle
- Experience with MS Access databases including query and report development
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Document writing skills including authoring of processes and procedures, internal training material and preparation of reports from the data management system.
Desirable
- Degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience in Training delivery – Certificate IV.
- Experience in a Marine environment.
- Experience with Department of Defence design delivery.
