Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
Oversees all Creative facilities which currently house Universal Creative team members. Manages the Facility & Administration staff that address all aspects of office space needs and administration requirements for the overall efficient operations of Project teams and Creative departments. Partners with the Architectural and Engineering Design Manager for all space design requirements. Ensures there is support for the senior leadership team in completion of any and all tasks, as assigned. Manages the dissemination of constant and accurate communication among all project divisions, including working with the Landlord and Vendors in general property management and maintenance needs/issues.
- Partners with Architectural and Engineering Design Manager on space planning design and executes vision for project teams/departments while maximizing efficiency and minimizing financial impact. Oversees sourcing, negotiation and procurement of all required office resources. Oversees the day-to-day operation of overall facilities management, including preventative maintenance of the buildings, grounds, equipment, security coordination and workplace guidelines adherence.
- Manages the Facility & Administration staff that address all aspects of office space planning and administration needs for the overall efficient operations of project teams and departments. Regulates the procurement of supplies and materials needed for the facilities.
- Oversees and manages any new construction, keeping the GC and all trades on schedule and on budget. Upon completion, executes the space planning requirements for the facility.
- Supports the senior leadership for the completion of any and all tasks, as assigned, including Project Management duties, as needed. Develops and executes Vendor Contracts (Estimation; Environmental; Infrastructure; consultant; Secondment; etc.). This includes, but is not limited to supervising the evaluation of vendor’s deliverables; overseeing the evaluation and justification of any Change Orders that are submitted; monitoring performance and schedule coordination with other groups and departments. Keeps senior leadership team informed of progress.
- Oversees the daily interface for all departments/projects to ensure their needs are being addressed and problems are being resolved.
- Communicates to the entire team facility matters of importance, such as lease expirations, VIP visits, fire alarm testing, mockups, etc.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Business or Project Management strongly preferred)
