Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
The Position
As part of Versant’s full-service, in-house executive search function, the Associate, Executive Search will support a best-in-class media and entertainment search practice and be responsible for identifying, attracting and hiring senior leaders across the organization. The Associate will contribute to all stages of the executive search process, including research, sourcing, managing full-service executive searches, candidate development and operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute tailored executive recruitment strategies and services across Versant’s portfolio.
- Manage the hands-on execution of high-level search consulting related to executive-level positions across the company’s internal client base in partnership with the Director of Executive Search.
- Guide the strategy and execution of real-time talent pipelines, partnering with talent management, HR leaders as well as the external open market.
- Manage candidate tracking in ATS or CRM as needed and assist in managing compliance.
- Act as an advisor and business partner and work collaboratively with participating client divisions and human resources partners to deliver a seamless and high-touch executive search experience.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to share insights, align strategies and deliver a seamless experience for candidates and hiring leaders.
- Represent Versant as a brand ambassador to demonstrate within the external talent market.
- Support, build and maintain Versant’s executive search presence throughout the Company.
- Own special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in managing and executing full-cycle executive level searches from an executive search firm or in-house executive recruiting function within a media, entertainment, technology or digital media company.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for candidate interviewing and assessment, client correspondence, project documentation, and status reporting.
- Proven ability to successfully collaborate and communicate with colleagues in a highly integrated team environment.
- Demonstrated research and analytical skills; capable of identifying key players, industry trends, competitive talent landscapes, and organizational structures.
- Skilled at guiding and partnering with a market research and intelligence function; ability to capture and synthesize large volumes of market and talent information for consumption by senior management and business leaders.
- Strategic, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional time management, follow-up, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated experience of an analytical, strategic and problem-solving work style.
- Proven excellent time management and follow-up skills in a multi-client, fast paced, frequently pressurized environment.
- Ability to form strategic business partnerships internally and externally with multiple stakeholders, including senior line management, corporate and divisional human resource executives and other project-based stake holders
- Strong business acumen and organizational savvy necessary to understand and anticipate future business and talent needs.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
