What does a successful Project Manager do at Fiserv?
At Fiserv, our Program Managers ensure predictable, consistent, and successful project delivery. By planning, coordinating, and monitoring medium to large-sized projects with a focus on scope, budget, and timelines, they partner with key business stakeholders to ensure seamless project initiation and completion.
What you will do:
- Define the overall project scope and consolidate timelines to highlight major milestones and associated dates.
- Lead the development of the project plan, including timelines, resource requirements, implementation strategies, assumptions, etc.
- Identify and communicate project dependencies and impacts to stakeholders.
- Establish mechanisms for setting expectations and ensuring ongoing control (e.g., kick-off meetings, risk management, change control).
- Provide a complete view of the overall project to the organization and all stakeholders.
- Define project governance, outlining roles, responsibilities, and decision rights.
- Keep all stakeholders, both internal and external, engaged and informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively communicate progress to provide transparency and facilitate effective, timely decision-making.
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in project management within the financial services or software industries.
- Demonstrated experience in project management processes and methodologies, as well as the project lifecycle.
- Proven track record in driving large projects within an organization.
- Proficiency with Project Management tools.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
What would be great to have:
- Experience in banking, financial services, and/or software industries.
- Public sector experience
- PMI certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Experience managing software implementation projects.
- Proficiency in MS Project.
- Experience with the Clarity tool.
Important information about this role:
- You will be required to travel up to 25% of the time.
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
